about

This track was recorded into my macbook's internal microphone in a hotel room in Canada as a last-minute shadow entry for the final round of Spintunes 3, "A Picture's Worth A Thousand Lyrics". We were challenged to write a song inspired by the picture provided; the photo's subject was an old abandoned car in a forest.

lyrics

I could spend a lifetime wasting away remembering good times past
I'd pretend it's like my greatest days again blurring milestones passed
And my thinking of late is it's safe to say there's a million I've amassed
But the thing that makes them glory days is the fact that they don't last

And it's over now, and I'm settled down, not by choice but the clock is ticking on

I'm forgotten but not gone
